Whisper Blue by Atthys J. Gage

Whisper Blue - Atthys J. Gage
Whisper Blue is the creepy, chilling story of what happens when you create an urban myth on the internet for research's sake. Miles does just that as part of his Master's, and certainly gets more than he bargained for. Marieka (it's Dutch) is his girlfriend at the start, but realises that she is probably better as his friend. When things take on a life of their own on his website, Miles has a mini breakdown, and it is left to Marieka to sort things out, as well as deal with her own life.

For me, this book was as creepy as all out. I don't do horror, but the chill factor here gave me goosebumps. This is probably because the descriptions are so wonderful, you are immersed in Marieka's plight as she tries to figure out what is going on. There is nothing gory or out-and-out scary in here, but it is one of those that creep you out if you read it by yourself... at night... home alone! Of course, it may not affect you in the slightest, but for me, it was just brilliant! Enough to chill me, yet not enough that I closed the book, which is a very good thing because I seriously needed to know how this would end.

Excellently written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, Whisper Blue is an excellent book for those who like paranormal with a twist. Highly recommended by me.
