REVIEW BY MERISSA - The Circle of Ceridwen (Circle of Ceridwen Saga #1) by Octavia Randolph

The Circle of Ceridwen - Octavia Randolph
This book is the tale of Ceridwen and is told from her perspective. The tale is almost split into two halves - the first half being as she travels and lives at Four Stones, and the second half as she helps a Wessex man escape and their adventures trying to get him back home.

I have enjoyed this book but I would have to say that I enjoyed the first half more and felt an immense sympathy with Sidroc.

The writing and storytelling aspect of this book 'feels' authentic and it is obvious that a lot of research has gone into it. The ending of this book feels a bit loose though, and new aspects are brought in right at the end. This is obviously a ploy to get you to buy the other two books in the trilogy, which is ok because I've put them on my wish list, however, to me, it just felt a bit messy at the end.

If you like historical fiction, then give this one a go and I'm sure you will enjoy it.
