This is a novella with a difference! Amanda wakes up after a heavy night to a reality that doesn't seem right. Things - and people - are different. She ends up in a class that she didn't register for, and doesn't want, but seems to have no choice. Through a series of 'lessons' that spark her memories, she learns about herself.
The History Major is a difficult book to categorise - on the one hand, there is a hint of the supernatural/paranormal to it, there is the hint of danger that is present throughout, plus the whole dreamscape sense to the story.
It is very well-written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the flow, and is sure to make you think about Amanda's lessons once you have put the book down. Definitely recommended.
