Branded (Fall of Angels #1) by Keary Taylor

Branded is a story about a girl, slightly different from the norm, because when she sleeps, she travels to where the angels are... sounds pleasant enough, doesn't it? The trouble is, Jessica has to stand in for whoever is being judged, and she will feel the pain of being branded if they go 'down', or the joy if they go 'up'.
She tries to stay awake for as long as possible, she doesn't mix socially, and she is still quite happy with her life. That changes when she finds out that the people she is house-sitting for have died, and their grandson now owns everything. Alex says that she can stay on though, and a tentative friendship starts up.
However, the leader of the Condemned suddenly disappears, and things change for Jessica.
This book is well written, with some twists and turns to keep you occupied during the length of the story. It has quite a smooth pace, with some interesting supporting characters. However, there is a big dollop of InstaLove, not just once but with both main males. Although, I guess you could call Cole's attraction as wanting possession, rather than insta-love. Still, it was a bit much for me.
Recommended for anyone who wants a different take on angels, and doesn't mind instalove.
